about Da Cheng Shi...

For my first post I'd like to take a second to explain the title of my blog, which I am starting to document my experience living in Taiwan. Da Cheng Shi is a rough chinese translation for 'Big City', which was kind of an inside joke at my old job.

This doesn't mean that I'll only be talking about the city while I'm living here. I like to think that it expresses the overwhelming feeling of being put into a new environment and learning to deal with it.
